This of course all took place BEFORE work and school started, but we haven’t had much time to post the pictures…so here they are!
We started our day with a visit to the actual “Hotel California” the Eagles sung about, which is called the Beverly Hills Hotel in real life. It has accommodated such stars as Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, John Wayne, John Lennon, Neil Simon (that’s for you, Mom), etc. And for those of us who weren't born a million years ago, there have also been recent big names such as Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer, Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, Nicole Kidman, Johnny Depp, Vince Vaughn, and Nicolas Cage.

Then we proceeded on to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I mean, what kind of California residents would we be if we didn't visit the most popular site in California?
We tried to get pictures of any stars that we liked or thought our family/friends might like. It was pretty crowded that day, so we did our best trying to get in the picture, but most of the time we just had to get the star by itself.

We stopped at the wax museum, but didn't pay to go inside. We did, however, manage to sneak in some photos...

Finally, we came to Grauman's Chinese Theater. It is a movie theater located right on the Walk of Fame that was started in 1927. It is the home of many movie premieres and apparently this is a good place to spot movie stars when they show up for these premieres.
The theater is well-known for about 200 celebrity handprints, footprints, and autographs in the concrete in the front of the theater. A lot of them are addressed to "Sid", the founder of the theater. There are also imprints of famous objects such as the magic wands from Harry Potter and the fist of John Wayne. I'm sure we missed some good ones, but we did get quite a few. Hope you can read them!
